POSITION SUMMARY                                                                                                                                    

The Cashier is responsible for classifying, recording, verifying and maintaining numerical data for use in financial records.   Responsible for oversight of deposit, financial control, and investment operations.   Developing new business and maintaining on-going relationships with business deposit customers.  Serves as board secretary and responsible for preparation and presentation of financial reports at monthly board meetings.       

KEY ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS                                                                                                      

  • Reports to President and Board.
  • Works closely with all departments, President, and branch associates.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                                                    

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

  • Confirms that the general ledger is in balance on a daily basis.  Daily monitoring of profitability of the bank.   
  • Oversight of bank personnel to monitor daily liquidity and cash position.   
  • Prepares monthly financial reports, and tax review.
  • Oversight of accounts payable. 
  • Provides input and recommendations for new product and service ideas.
  • Identifies and assesses customer needs and sales opportunities by developing the appropriate proposal of products and services.
  • Perform quarterly cash and employee audits. 
  • Establishes appropriate networking relationship through involvement in the community and civic organizations in order to enhance business opportunities and referral opportunities.
  • Adheres to regulatory and federal banking requirements and regulations, such as Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Completion and submission of quarterly federal call reports, and annual completion of Summary of Deposits report. 
  • Annual vendor management analysis.
  • Annual completion of business continuity plan. 
  • Quarterly submission of Interest Rate Risk Monitoring report information. 
  • Monthly preparation and communication of employee compensation incentive program.
  • Lead and complete annual budget.   
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE                                                                                                                     

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Sales or related field; 4-6 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
