The Investments Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Investments leadership team. The Analyst will be providing research, analysis, underwriting to support acquisitions and dispositions.

What You'll Do

  • Underwrite investment properties, establishing monthly rental rate, property value and required capital investment

  • Verify, change or create underwriting assumptions on potential real estate investments

  • Excellent Excel skills and an in depth understanding of financial modeling related to underwriting deals will be necessary including the implementation of DCF, IRR, Cap Rates, NPV, YoC etc.

  • Be able to implement and interpret a real estate market analysis

  • Track economic and performance indicators for new acquisitions

  • Completion of market surveys and other market analysis

  • Timely interpretation of data for recommendations

  • Analyze existing investments and provide reporting on investment activity

  • Assisting with due diligence of investments

  • Analyze and prepare recommendations for improving investment and management process

  • Monitor and evaluate financial and operating results daily

  • Regular, informed maintenance of listing rents based on internal and external market conditions

  • Monitor progress of all acquisition channels

  • Participate as needed on Regional Investment and Operations calls

  • Complete projects assigned by SVP of Investments and other duties as assigned

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related field

  • Quantitative degree or supportive coursework preferred

  • Minimum 1-4 years of financial modeling experience, with real estate focus preferable but not required

  • Expert knowledge of MS office, especially MS Excel

  • Possess superior analytical abilities

  • High degree of intellectual curiosity

  • Excellent organizational skill

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadline

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills: ability to relate to and get along with others

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership

  • Ability to use a personal computer and working knowledge of accounting software system

  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical and accounting function

  • Ability to perform cash forecasting, planning and management

Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is: $78,075.00 - $135,330.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.Compensation and Benefits
