Investment Operations Analyst
Location US-WI-Milwaukee

Overview

The Senior Investment Operations Analyst is a member of the team responsible for the critical function of ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of investment data across the organization. This role involves strategic oversight of data sourcing, validation, processing, and distribution. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial instruments and data management best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. This role is crucial in maintaining the reliability of our financial data infrastructure and supporting informed decision-making.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week.

Location(s): Milwaukee, WI or Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities
    Data Validation and Quality Control:
    • Oversee the daily validation of securities, issuers and benchmark domains for our investable universe.
    • Implement and execute data quality checks and validation rules to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and errors in investment data.
    • Investigate and resolve data quality issues in a timely and efficient manner, escalating complex problems as needed.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for data validation processes and procedures.
  • Data Acquisition and Sourcing:
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new pricing and valuation data sources.
    • Establish and maintain robust data feeds and integrations with external vendors and internal systems.
    • Collaborate with market data management to ensure data quality and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Data Distribution and Reporting:
    • Prepare and distribute pricing and valuation data to internal & external stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain automated data delivery processes to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information.
    • Respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide support to users accessing pricing and valuation data.
  • Process Improvement and Documentation:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline data operations processes and improve efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data sources, processes, and workflows.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years experience in an investment services role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Remain in stationary position for prolonged periods of time
  • Operate computer programs and software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats
  • Day-to-day contact with others (co-workers and/or public)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative business environment in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with accounting and valuation of various asset classes including structured products and derivatives
  • Proficiency with data management tools and software, Bloomberg, Excel, SQL, VBA, etc.
  • Experience with Accounting and Trading Systems; APX, CRD, Bloomberg
  • Experience with SQL, PowerApps, and Python.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $75,000 - $95,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
