We are a fee-only financial advisory and portfolio management firm headquartered in Atlanta with offices throughout the U.S. Our advisors in Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Texas, and Arizona provide clients with a full range of financial advice. This position is based in our Atlanta, GA office and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after completion of a successful introductory period.
Investment Associate
We are looking to add a driven, team-oriented Investment Associate to our Atlanta office. This individual will grow their knowledge of our business and practices by supporting a team of Advisors, ultimately advancing into an Investment Advisor position, and managing their own portfolio of clients.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Support business development and the attraction of new clients to the Firm
  • Keep current with financial planning issues and subsequent effects on clients
  • Coordinate preparation of all financial plans for new and existing clients
  • Build investment planning recommendation presentations
  • Open, transfer and close customer accounts and maintain appropriate account records
  • Stay current with new investment products and market trends

Skills & Qualifications:
  • 0-2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Bachelor's degree in related business field such as Finance, Marketing, or Economics
  • Preferably licensed with one or a combination of: Series 7, 63, 65, 66
  • Committed to obtaining the Series 65 within four months of joining, if not already licensed
  • Committed to working toward a CFP® after joining, if not already certified
  • Preference to candidates with exposure to tools and technology related to investing, financial planning, and portfolio analysis (i.e. eMoney, Black Diamond, Schwab, Fidelity)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibits the Capital Investment Advisors five core values in everything they do
