WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Role

CoolIT Systems, Inc. is hiring a full-time Test Technologist- ATG / PCL to support the day-to-day execution of passive cold plate loop, VRM, and automation testing and qualification activities. This role focuses on setting up and executing tests, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures and project timelines.

Reporting to the Test Supervisor (PCL), this position is ideal for a hands-on technologist who thrives in a lab environment and is passionate about high-quality test execution, troubleshooting, and accurate data collection. The role works closely with engineers and the test team to support test planning, setup, and execution of validation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute validation and qualification testing of passive cold plate loops and related liquid cooling hardware.
  • Assemble and configure test setups including instrumentation, plumbing, sensors, and data acquisition systems according to approved procedures.
  • Designing of test fixtures
  • Perform thermal, pressure, flow, leak, and functional testing in accordance with defined test methods.
  • Support test planning and scheduling activities by preparing equipment, fixtures, and required instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot test setups, instrumentation, and lab equipment issues to ensure smooth test execution and minimize downtime.
  • Record and document test conditions, observations, and results accurately in lab logs and data systems.
  • Review collected test data for completeness and highlight anomalies or issues for further investigation.
  • Assist engineers with root cause investigations through controlled test execution and detailed documentation of results.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, sensors, and instrumentation as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test methods, lab processes, and standard work.
  • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and best practices when operating test equipment and handling fluids and pressurized systems.

Who You Are
Basic Qualifications:

        • Diploma in Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline.
        • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, thermal, or fluid system testing.
        • Working knowledge of SolidWorks
        • Practical experience with test setups, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
        • Experience performing pressure, flow, thermal, and leak testing.
        • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
        • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a hands-on lab environment.
        • Good organizational skills and ability to support multiple test activities.

                  Preferred Qualifications

                  • Experience with data center liquid cooling systems.
                  • Familiarity with rack-level cooling infrastructure such as manifolds, hoses, quick disconnects, and fittings.
