RRD is looking for a Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Houston!
This is an onsite position M-F from 7am-4pm
Job Summary
Gathers, enters, manages, and analyzes information to support manufacturing operations. Interacts with customers, suppliers, management, with manufacturing team members, and with other departments and plants. Completes tasks and responsibilities as assigned by department management.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across locations and systems
  • Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and root-cause analysis for variances
  • Manage excess inventory and determine ways to prevent overproduction
  • Analyzes inventory levels and production plans to ensure product availability and cost-efficient manufacturing and inventory
  • Analyze inventory trends, aging material, and excess/obsolete stock
  • Partner with operations to improve staging, replenishment, and material flow
  • Ensure system transactions (receipts, moves, shipments) are completed accurately
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track inventory performance and KPIs
  • Support audits and maintain compliance with inventory control procedures
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce discrepancies
  • Forecast demand and support production and replenishment planning
  • Evaluate process efficiency and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track shipments, material availability, and risks to customer delivery
  • Build and maintain reporting tools for leadership visibility and decision-making
  • Support system/process changes (ERP, Amazon, etc.) and SOP development
  • Communicate cross-functionally to resolve supply, inventory, and logistics issues

Qualifications
  • Minimum - High School or GED - HS Diploma
  • Minimum - 5+ years of relevant administrative administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations
  • At least 3+ years experience working with inventory is strongly preferred.
  • Must have very good knowledge of technology to include computers and software programs such as MS Office and Google Suite
  • Inventory software experience is a plus
  • Must have very good oral and written communication skills
  • Requires very good organizational skills
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Additional Information
The salary pay range for this role at the noted location is $52,500 to $93.400. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay. RRD offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
