Job Details

General Summary:

Has the overall responsibility for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the sales and inventory forecast to support sales and inventory goals for their defined categories. Collaborates with the Global Inventory, Merchandise Planning and Merchandising teams to develop and execute item/store/DC forecasts. Provides subject matter expertise in the design and development of demand planning systems and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Global Inventory to define and execute the forecast strategy for defined categories.
  • Manages and monitors seasonality trends.
  • Manages and monitors macro promotion and event activity.
  • Supports the new store as well as the new and discontinued item forecasting processes.
  • Monitors the execution of the forecasting system. Monitors the macro level system alerts.
  • Provides subject matter expertise, training and support to the Demand Chain team.
  • Supports vendor collaboration (forecast data).
  • Provides key performance indicator (KPI) reporting to various business partners.

  • Strong business acumen and superior analytical skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint and database applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels

Work Experience &/or Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance or related field and two years experience in supply chain, inventory management, and/or demand planning required. Knowledge of the demand forecasting/planning systems preferred. Working knowledge of forecasting methodology preferred. Aldata G.O.L.D. knowledge preferred.
