Material Handler
Location: Suffolk, VA
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $15.00-15.50 / hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Material Handler to join our distribution team in Suffolk, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, stocking, loading, and tracking inventory to ensure efficient warehouse operations and smooth production workflows.
Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Stocking: Receive, store, and organize raw materials and finished goods in their designated warehouse locations.
  • Material Movement: Transport materials safely to and from production lines, loading docks, and storage areas using manual equipment or forklifts.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Assist in loading and unloading freight trucks, verifying shipments against packing slips, and reporting any damaged goods.
  • Order Staging: Pick, stage, and prepare materials for upcoming daily production schedules.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering strictly to workplace safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts) safely.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Basic math and literacy skills for inventory counting and order processing.
