Job description

Position Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records within the manufacturing warehouse through strong inventory control practices, cycle counting, auditing, and SAP transaction management. This role plays a critical part in ensuring material accuracy, supporting production needs, and minimizing inventory discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts; investigate and resolve variances
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure inventory movements are properly executed and documented

SAP & System Transactions

  • Execute all inventory-related transactions in SAP (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments)
  • Ensure SAP data accuracy aligns with physical inventory
  • Support inventory reconciliations between SAP and physical counts
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Supply Chain on SAP-related inventory improvements

Auditing & Compliance

  • Support internal and external inventory audits
  • Ensure compliance with company inventory control policies and SOX requirements (if applicable)
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and transaction accuracy

Warehouse & Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with Warehouse, Production, Procurement, and QA teams to ensure material availability
  • Support process improvements related to inventory flow, storage, and accuracy
  • Train warehouse team members on proper inventory handling and SAP transaction best practices

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Strong hands-on experience using SAP (inventory management, material movements)
  • Proven experience with cycle counting and inventory auditing
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments
  • Understanding of FIFO/FEFO inventory practices
