Job description

PM Shift - Part Time Available

A Banquet Set-up person is responsible preparing banquet space for all banquet functions in a timely, friendly and efficient manner in our continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for moving tables, chairs, staging and any other banquet equipment with proper use of hand trucks, carts and dollies in a safe manner.
  • Set up banquet rooms exactly as the contract states: this includes chairs, tables, staging, skirting of tables, water stations, buffets, etc.
  • Responsible for the breakdown and storage of furniture and equipment upon completion of banquet catering functions. This includes cleaning and vacuuming meeting rooms.
  • Treat guests with courtesy, friendliness and respect and provide responsive service.
  • Communicates with the Catering department for information on changes in events and adjusts as necessary.
  • Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, staying on your feet, climbing stairs, carrying heavyweights.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift minimum of 30lbs. Push pull or move 300lbs.
