Jones Networking is recruiting for an MRO Manager to join a large manufacturing facility in Sterling, VA. The MRO Manager is responsible for managing the MRO Team, ensuring the availability of spare parts by managing inventory and maintaining accuracy of inventory, optimizing maintenance processes pertaining to inventory, and ensuring the maintenance team can improve equipment reliability and performance by maintaining proper inventory levels and ordering requested parts. This role assists the Maintenance Manager with tracking component costs for improvement, corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities for equipment and the facility. MRO Manager Position Summary:

-Manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts for all equipment and the facility. This includes Maintenance and Refrigeration departments.

-Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to improve uptime, reduce maintenance costs, and extend equipment life.

-Create and enforce policies and procedures to guide maintenance inventory activities and to improve inventory accuracy and availability.

-Provide support for emergency maintenance activities and act as an escalation point for vendor support issues.

-Manage vendor relationships; creating strong partnerships with parts and service suppliers.

-Track KPI's such as: maintenance and third-party expenses, inventory value, outstanding purchase orders, number of stock-outs and inventory accuracy.

-Provide training and guidance to the MRO team, maintenance team, and refrigeration team to enhance skills and performance related to parts usage and tracking.

-Ensure compliance with federal, state and company policies, procedures and regulations, including safety and environmental standards.

-Support the business during regulatory and customer audits by assuring inventory storage areas are always in compliance.


Qualifications Summary:

-Minimum five years experience working in inventory management, preferably for maintenance, in a manufacturing environment.

-Demonstrated experience successfully developing and delivering training for new and existing employees.

-Ability to motivate and manage a team of employees.

-Strong familiarity with manufacturing environments, equipment and facilities.

-Strong working knowledge of inventory control practices.

-Computer skills related to spreadsheets, CMMS systems, inventory systems and data analysis tools.

-Experience with NetSuite or other Oracle-based ERP systems preferred.

-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related degree preferred.
