Job Summary:
NEOGOV is seeking a Technology Inventory Specialist to manage the receipt, tracking, distribution, and lifecycle documentation of technology assets used across county departments. This role ensures accurate inventory records and compliance with county procurement and asset-control policies while coordinating between IT, finance, and operational teams.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains accurate inventory records for all county-owned technology assets, including computers, mobile devices, networking equipment, peripherals, software licenses, and consumables.
• Receives and inspects incoming technology shipments; verify accuracy against purchase orders and contracts.
• Assists in tagging and labeling IT assets into the county’s asset-management system for easy identification and tracking.
• Tracks the location, status, and lifecycle of all computer assets assigned to county staff and departments; collect signatures and maintain custody logs.
• Performs regular physical inventories and audits across county offices, departments, public safety locations, and remote facilities and reconciles asset discrepancies.
• Ensures documentation meets audit and compliance requirements.
• Coordinates equipment replacement cycles, warranty claims, returns, and disposal processes following county policy and security standards.
• Monitors inventory levels and notify supervisors when stock or critical equipment reaches reorder thresholds.
• Maintains organized storage areas and ensure secure handling of sensitive equipment.
• Supports IT staff during large deployments, technology refresh initiatives, and countywide rollouts.
• Collaborates with procurement, finance, and auditors to ensure compliance with county purchasing rules, asset retention schedules, and data-security requirements.
• Prepares reports, spreadsheets, and asset summaries for audits, budget planning, and management reviews.

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum of 1 year experience with asset-management or ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, AssetWorks, Incident IQ, 1-to-1 systems, MDM or similar)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory systems, preferably with technology assets
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
