Job Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented Material Inventory Specialist to manage receipt, tracking, staging, and delivery of materials for network cabling projects at a hyperscale data center involving fiber and copper installation. Responsibilities include inventory control, shipment tracking, material prep, and kitting to ensure efficient job site support and project success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and track incoming materials and equipment against purchase orders.
  • Organize, stage, and prepare material kits for easy access and project readiness.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor usage, and conduct regular audits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for deliveries, issue resolution, and scheduling.
  • Track shipments, update project teams, and adjust inventory levels to minimize waste.
  • Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment; ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with project teams on procurement, substitutions, and meeting project timelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in material management, logistics, or inventory control (telecom or construction industry preferred).
  • Forklift certification, valid driver's license, and reliable transportation required.
  • Proficient in inventory management software with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills for working with project teams, suppliers, and vendors; high school diploma required, degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor and warehouse settings.


Pay Rate:

$21.00 - $35.00/hour
