About the Role

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for managing the daily inventory operations including inventory accuracy, bin management, cycle counts and audit processes, inventory consolidation and replenishment, discrepancy resolution and root cause analysis, non-conforming parts, quarantine and scrap resolution, establishing and managing Key Performance Indicators.

What You'll Do

  • Manage Inventory Accuracy
    • Collaborate with the Finance team to execute counting transactions for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished goods, including cycle count sheets, investigate/resolve inventory discrepancies, and provide required supporting documentation in alignment with Lean Practices.
    • Implement Inventory policies and procedures
  • Manage Inventory Storage and Transactions
    • Implement efficient bin storage practices and turn times for put-away
    • Analyze inventory transactions for accuracy and implement necessary root cause/corrective actions to resolve discrepancies
    • Manage quarantined and scrap inventory to ensure timely disposition
    • Manage and escalate issues as required
  • Manage Team
    • Train and develop team members on inventory control and management best practices
    • Implement cross-training initiatives
    • Implement and maintain 7S initiatives in all areas

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in supply chain management, logistics, operations planning, or similar functional areas
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Outlook and Excel, and ERP systems
  • Good cross-functional communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks for the most efficient use of time
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with both internal partners and external clients
