Job description

Position Title: Inventory Control – Containers

Department: Inventory

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 / hour

Position Summary:

Join our team in Yamhill, Oregon as an Inventory Control Specialist - Containers, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory, monitoring crop development, and supporting the teams that bring our plants to customers across the country.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a role that combines independent field work with collaboration across multiple departments. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring container crop inventory is accurate, organized, and ready to support production, sales, and shipping operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate crop counts, locations, and availability. 
  • Monitor plant growth, quality, and salability to provide timely updates to Sales and Shipping teams. 
  • Enter and maintain inventory information in company systems and databases. 
  • Track and verify inventory movements, location changes, and product availability. 
  • Partner with Production and Plant Health teams to communicate crop quality concerns and maintain company quality standards. 
  • Assist Shipping with accurate location information and field support. 
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies. 
  • Support variety identification and verification efforts to ensure product accuracy. 
  • Maintain field signage and inventory labeling. 
  • Capture product photos and status updates for internal use and customer-facing platforms. 
  • Generate and review inventory reports to support data accuracy and decision-making. 
  • Assist with grading, tagging, and inventory readiness activities. 
  • Support inventory projects and seasonal business needs across departments as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Basic math skills for counts, estimates, and inventory tracking. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment. 
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a seasonal production setting. 
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Associate degree in Horticulture or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. 
  • Knowledge of plant material, crop growth, and variety identification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and inventory management systems.
