Description:Warehouse Associate Job Description

The Warehouse & Shipping Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, and distribution operations for a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This position requires operating a stand-up forklift, transporting materials between facilities, loading and unloading trailers, organizing inventory, preparing customer orders, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse and shipping experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in refrigerated and freezer environments. This role requires forklift experience, and the ability to lift and move products and materials throughout the facility.

Essential Functions

· Drive company truck between local warehouse locations and production facilities.

· Operate a stand-up forklift to move materials and finished goods safely and efficiently.

· Load and unload trailers and delivery vehicles.

· Pick, pull, and prepare customer orders for shipment.

· Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.

· Stage ingredients and materials for production use.

· Store finished products in freezer and refrigerated storage areas.

· Perform inventory control and stock rotation activities.

· Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, freezer, and cooler areas.

· Follow all company safety, GMP, food safety, and quality standards.

· Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all workplace policies.

· Assist with additional warehouse and shipping duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Previous stand-up forklift experience required.

· Warehouse and shipping experience preferred.

· Ability to work in cold storage and freezer environments.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 70 pounds with assistance.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a food manufacturing facility with exposure to warehouse, refrigerated, freezer, and production environments. Employees may be exposed to machinery noise, food allergens, and varying temperatures. Appropriate PPE is provided and required at all times.
