As a crucial member of our team, the Inventory Control Associate plays a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our distribution centers. This role is responsible for overseeing, monitoring and validating inventory levels to ensure accuracy across departments and functions. A day in the life as an Inventory Control Associate...

  • Primarily responsible for documenting inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, losses and removal of items
  • Prepares inventory reports
  • Maintains inventory operations by following policies and procedures and reports changes as needed
  • Ensures shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained
  • Investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies
  • Performs periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand
  • Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas
  • Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business
  • Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment to ensure no damage to merchandise, equipment, or facilities
  • Performs safety checks on lifts, reporting any damage prior to start and end of shift
  • Performs all routine equipment servicing including, but not limited to attaching a battery charger, replenishing fuel, and checking for safety of operations
