Rosewood Miramar Beach, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for a talented Bar Production Associate. The Bar Production Associate is responsible for the centralized preparation of cocktail ingredients, batching, and beverage components that support all bar programs across the property. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality control throughout the hotel's beverage operations. Working closely with the Director of Bars and outlet leadership teams, the Bar Production Associate ensures that cocktail ingredients, garnishes, and batched preparations meet established recipe standards, cost controls, and production schedules. By centralizing preparation and production, this role enables bartenders to focus on guest engagement and service delivery while safeguarding the integrity of the hotel's mixology program. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality, with a strong respect for cleanliness, safety, and precision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation & Production:
  • Juice citrus and other fruits for use across multiple outlets including AMA Sushi, The Manor Bar, Caruso's, Miramar Beach Bar, Revere Room, and pool venues
  • Prepare syrups, cordials, infusions, tinctures, shrubs, and other cocktail components according to standardized recipes
  • Batch cocktails and other beverage preparations in accordance with established formulas and quality standards
  • Cut and prepare garnishes while maintaining freshness and presentation standards
  • Support beverage preparation for guest amenities and special programming initiatives
  • Ensure all prepared products are labeled, dated, and stored according to FIFO standards
  • Maintain consistency in flavor balance and recipe execution across all produced items

Quality & Program Support:
  • Safeguard recipe integrity and preparation standards across all beverage programs
  • Partner with the Director of Bars to ensure consistency of ingredients and production methods across outlets
  • Support implementation of new cocktail programs and seasonal menu change
  • Assist with testing and execution of new preparation techniques and beverage innovations when directed
  • Ensure all batched products meet quality, safety, and flavor standards prior to distribution

Organization & Inventory Control:
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the Mixology Lab and designated prep areas
  • Create and maintain daily and weekly production lists based on outlet demand and forecasted business levels
  • Communicate low inventory levels and production needs to bar leadership in a timely manner
  • Track yields and minimize waste through proper preparation techniques and portion control
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts and beverage program stock management when required

Technical Skills:
  • Basic math skills for recipe scaling and batching
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred

  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and procedures with precision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple production tasks simultaneously

Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Must have current and valid Food Handler's card and TIPS certification
  • Previous experience in food & beverage preparation, barbacking, kitchen prep, or production environments preferred but not required
  • Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages

Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
This position requires the ability to perform the following physical activities:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Continuous use of hands for fine motor skills and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors

Professional Development: The Bar Production Associate role provides foundational exposure to beverage operations and mixology techniques, offering potential development pathways into bar service, bartending, and beverage leadership positions within the Food & Beverage division.
Requirement:
  • Must have a current and valid Food Handler Certification.
  • Must have a current and valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Server ID.
  • Minimum 21 years of age to pour alcoholic beverages.

The pay scale for this position is between $23.00 and $25.00/hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
