Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor

Position Summary
The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing inventory processes, and ensuring product quality standards are consistently met. This role leads cycle count programs, investigates discrepancies, and implements quality assurance procedures to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control
  • Oversee daily inventory operations including receiving, storage, transfers, and adjustments
  • Lead and coordinate cycle counts and annual physical inventories
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, root cause issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS systems
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock
  • Develop and improve inventory control procedures and best practices
Quality Control
  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Develop and enforce quality control policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Identify product defects or non-conformance issues and coordinate corrective actions
  • Conduct audits and track quality metrics (defect rates, returns, etc.)
  • Collaborate with operations, suppliers, and management to improve product quality
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company quality standards
Leadership amp; Coordination
  • Supervise and train inventory and QC team members
  • Provide guidance on proper handling, storage, and inspection processes
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and procurement teams

Qualifications
Education amp; Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or quality control
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Skills amp; Competencies
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems (ERP/WMS)
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and inspection methods
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking

Preferred Qualifications
