Job description

The Inventory Manager position will oversee company-wide inventory accounting, including physical counts and costing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manages and monitors the inventory tracking system supporting multiple sites.
  • Evaluates receipts, shipments, and product levels to improve inventory control procedures and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Analyzes daily/weekly site product and supply levels.
  • Produces transfer orders to balance inventory and mitigate shortages between sites.
  • Manages inter-company receipts and shipments to optimize operations.
  • Communicates with inventory, purchasing and all site operations employees to achieve business goals.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve inventory control, inventory levels and logistics.
  • Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
  • Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies.
  • Experience conducting tracking and data analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
