Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Clerk.


The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting inventory control processes throughout the Plover facility. This position ensures proper inventory storage, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting through routine audits, cycle counts, system reviews, and physical inventory verification. The role supports operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, food safety, and warehouse performance by identifying discrepancies, improving inventory processes, and maintaining accurate system records.


Performance is measured through inventory accuracy, process compliance, timely completion of inventory activities, and support of warehouse operations.


Accountabilities:

Inventory Control Operations

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within inventory management systems.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Verify inventory transactions and ensure proper inventory movement documentation.
  • Perform inventory reviews and reconciliations to support inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify aging, damaged, or obsolete inventory.
  • Support warehouse operations through inventory tracking and reporting activities.
  • Enter and maintain inventory-related data within TraxSYS, TensorID, and other inventory management systems.
  • Ensure inventory documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
  • Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Partner with warehouse leadership to maintain inventory integrity and support operational goals.
  • Assist with special inventory projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within inventory storage and warehouse areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Safety, Food Safety, and Quality

  • Follow all company safety, GMP, food safety, and quality requirements.
  • Separate held or restricted product properly.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the department.
  • Support compliance with lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, and fall protection requirements.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and quality concerns promptly. 


Minimum Skills Required:

  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, attendance, and compliance.
  • Previous inventory control or warehouse experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or warehouse operations.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
