American Refrigeration Supplies, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of A/C and heating equipment, accessories and supplies and has been serving our customers for 85 years. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Counter Sales Representative to join our team at our Anaheim Branch. This position is full-time (typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)

About the position:

As a Counter Sales Representative you will be responsible in providing excellent Customer Service and HVACR Solutions to ARS Customers by meeting their specifications to the best of our ability while maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor.

  • Establish and maintain positive rapport with customers by using positive verbal communication and providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Responsible for entering orders, creating quotes and other counter sales transactions, credit/cash transactions, obtaining relevant signatures for billing purposes.
  • Sell equipment, tools, parts, accessories, materials, and supplies to dealers, contractors, service firms and other industrial accounts.
  • Regularly check product stock and inventory OE and IMI
  • Remain current and knowledgeable about products and the Company portfolio.
  • Recommend and promote related ‘add-on’ items to customers. Advise customers on substitution or modification of related items and products application information.
  • Provide accurate price points from Company computer database.
  • Receive and fill telephone and PROKEEP orders effectively.
  • Help provide customers solutions using technical knowledge and manufacturer’s/vendor connections or support teams.
  • Consistent/timely follow-up with customers and sales consultants with accurate quotes and product information.
  • Prepare items for shipping, communicate accurate delivery information,
  • Accept returns for credit and complete warranty paperwork as directed. **
  • Collaborate when needed with outside/inside sales teams to provide timely feedback and notification of special needs price quotes.
  • Maintain, organize, and stock shelves. Assist with maintaining inventory control.
  • Assist in organization of equipment and product displays. Ensure store area is kept sanitary and orderly.
  • Assist customers with loading merchandise and other needs. Effectively work together with fellow CSR’s to ensure continuity of customer service.
  • Attend branch meetings, technical training sessions and general Company meetings as requested.
  • Available to work after hours/weekends/holidays to open up branch and transact business to service customers on a rotating basis
  • Available to work during Mandatory Inventory Weekend every November 
  • Other duties as assigned
  • A minimum of 2 years in the HVAC industry, preferred
  • 1 year customer service experience in fast paced environment
  • Employee must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Must be able to communicate well with others.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate time management
  • Demonstrated Excellence in verbal/written communication
  • Strong computer knowledge including MS Office
