Job description

Top Guy Footwear is a women's and kids shoe wholesaler that has been operating for over 20 years out of City of Industry, CA (91789). The Quality Control Assistant supports the Shipping and Purchasing team in ensuring that all footwear and apparel products meet Top Guy Shoes' standards for quality, safety, and compliance before they reach our customers. This is a detail-oriented, hands-on role that plays a direct part in protecting our brand reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products for defects, sizing inconsistencies, labeling errors, and packaging issues.
  • Document inspection results accurately using QC logs and reporting tools.
  • Communicate findings to the Shipping Supervisor and relevant department leads in a timely manner.
  • Support rework processes as needed.
  • Help coordinate with warehouse and receiving teams to flag non-conforming goods.
  • Perform sample pulls for audits and compliance checks.
  • Supervise and direct temporary workers during inspection and rework tasks.
  • Provide on-the-spot guidance and training to temps on QC standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant coursework a plus
  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or quality control environment preferred
