Delivery Driver / Stock Clerk - Fine Wine & Spirits

Schneider’s of Capitol Hill – Washington, DC

Are you a reliable and customer-focused professional with a clean driving record, looking for a full-time role in a dynamic environment? Schneider’s of Capitol Hill, a family-run institution for fine wines and spirits for over 70 years, is looking for a dedicated Delivery Driver / Stock Clerk to join our team in time for the busy holiday season.

This is a full-time position that offers a blend of physical work, logistical management, and direct customer interaction. You'll be a key part of our operation, ensuring that our world-class inventory of over 12,000 selections is meticulously managed, from the moment it arrives in our warehouse to when it's delivered to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliveries: Safely and efficiently deliver fine wines and spirits to our customers throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Warehouse Operations: Assist with stocking, cleaning, and organizing our high-volume inventory.
  • Customer Service: Provide professional and friendly service, both in-store and during deliveries.
  • In-Store Support: Assist with cashiering and other general duties as needed to support smooth retail operations.


Qualifications:

  • Experience & Reliability: Previous experience in delivery, retail, or the wine and spirits industry is preferred.
  • Physical Strength: Capable of lifting 50 lbs and being on your feet for an extended period.
  • Driving: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Schedule: Must be available for a flexible full-time schedule, which includes day, night, and weekend shifts to support our busy operation.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $18 - $22 per hour, with bonus pay for late-night pickups and deliveries.
  • Benefits: Health insurance, 401k, Paid Time Off (PTO), and an employee discount.
