Job description

Varstaff is looking for an Inventory Associate II.
About the Job: In this role, you will play a crucial part in fulfillment center operations at our Woodland Hills, CA facility. You will handle incoming shipments, manage inventory, operate heavy material-handling equipment, and maintain accurate records within our inventory management system. Operating in a highly technical environment, you will drive continuous improvement by identifying operational roadblocks, supporting root-cause analysis, and maintaining high standards of quality control and safety across all workflow stages.
Shift Details & Schedule
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST

Work Location: 21650 Oxnard St, Suite 1100, Woodland Hills, CA, 91367, US (North Hollywood Area)
What We're Looking For Education & Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Fulfillment Center Operations, specifically within receiving and inventory functions.
  • Experience in inventory counting, receiving, packing, put-away, picking/kitting, or shipping.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery/PIT equipment.
  • Strong communication, mathematical, and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Dedicated mindset with a focus on world-class quality, attention to detail, and team collaboration.

Must-Have Skills
  • Equipment Operation: Must be able to safely operate forklifts and other PIT equipment (e.g., electronic pallet jacks, reach-trucks, turret-trucks).
  • Inventory & BOM Management: Ability to derive inventory requirements directly from Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Receiving & Quality Control: Ability to unload shipments, visually inspect packages against standard operating procedures (SOPs), and perform required quality control checks per part number.
  • Documentation & Data Entry: Systematic upload, storage, and processing of work orders/receipts using inventory management tools.
  • Packaging, Staging & Auditing: Skills in selecting proper packaging, wrapping, labeling, marking, sorting, staging, and properly storing/auditing inventory.
  • Physical & Safety Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and strict adherence to safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)
  • Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience specifically within the aerospace or automotive industries.
  • Experience operating electronic pallet jacks (EPJs).
