Job Summary

The Junior Cloud Administrator Focus: Microsoft 365 & Cloud Operations will support the IT team in maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on the Microsoft 365 (Office 365) ecosystem. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a foundational understanding of cloud environments who is eager to manage enterprise collaborative tools, identity management, and cloud operations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft ย ย ย ย ย 365 Administration: Perform daily administrative tasks within the ย ย ย ย ย Microsoft 365 admin center, including managing user licenses, configuring ย ย ย ย ย shared mailboxes, and supporting Exchange Online. ? ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Modern Device Deployment: Assist ย ย ย ย ย with the configuration and maintenance ofย 
    • Windows ย ย ย ย ย ย Autopilot deployment profiles: register hardware hashes, manage ย ย ย ย ย ย Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) settings, and ensure a seamless, zero-touch ย ย ย ย ย ย provisioning experience for end-users.
    • Endpoint ย ย ย ย ย ย Management (Intune): Monitor and maintain Microsoft Intune ย ย ย ย ย ย configurations, including device enrollment (Windows, iOS, Android), ย ย ย ย ย ย application packaging/deployment, and routine patch management (Windows ย ย ย ย ย ย Update for Business).
    • Policy ย ย ย ย ย ย & Compliance Enforcement: Support the implementation of Intune ย ย ย ย ย ย configuration profiles, endpoint security baselines, and device ย ย ย ย ย ย compliance policies to ensure hardware aligns with organizational ย ย ย ย ย ย security standards.
  • Collaboration ย ย ย ย ย Platform Support: Maintain and support SharePoint Online, Microsoft ย ย ย ย ย Teams, and OneDrive environments, ensuring proper site creation, data ย ย ย ย ย structure, and sharing permissions.
  • Identity ย ย ย ย ย & Access Management (IAM): Assist with user ย ย ย ย ย onboarding/offboarding, managing security groups, and enforcing ย ย ย ย ย conditional access policies and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via ย ย ย ย ย Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
  • Monitoring ย ย ย ย ย & Security Alerts: Monitor cloud security dashboards and audit ย ย ย ย ย logs for anomalies, assisting with the initial triaging of system alerts.
  • Backup ย ย ย ย ย & Data Retention: Monitor automated cloud backup solutions and ย ย ย ย ย assist with standard data retention and discovery requests.
  • Documentation ย ย ย ย ย & Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, standard ย ย ย ย ย operating procedures (SOPs), and end-user self-help guides for Office 365 ย ย ย ย ย features.

Requirements


Technical Qualifications

  • Education: ย Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
  • Microsoft 365 Expertise: Foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 core services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, Autopilot) and Entra ID.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900) or ย ย ย ย ย Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Potentials (MS-102).
  • Networking: Basic understanding of DNS concepts (such as MX, SPF, DKIM, and TXT ย ย ย ย ย records) vital for email delivery and domain verification.
  • Scripting: Basic familiarity with PowerShell for querying data and automating routine ย ย ย ย ย Microsoft 365 tasks.

Preferred Skills (The "Plus" List)

  • Exposure to cloud security and compliance dashboards (e.g., Microsoft Purview).
