JUNIOR PROGRAM MANAGER

LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA

SALARY RANGE:$75-$85,000 annually *

*depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications

CLEARANCE: Secret clearance needed at time of hire

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Program Manager to support the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) program, which is within the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) and located at Hanscom AFB, MA.

The Air Force Intranet Control is a defensive system that analyzes all traffic coming in the service’s network, it receives data from more than 100 entry points on regionally managed Air Force networks into 16 centrally managed access points that cover all traffic on the Air Force Information Network.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Education: BA/BS Degree
  • Years of Experience: 3 years of directly related experience in a DoD setting
  • OR, five years of directly related experience with proper certification
  • MUST have an active US security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Excellent writing skills and strong command of the English language, including grammar
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with other organizations and personnel with disparate backgrounds
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Experience in MS Office software, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint required; experience in MS Project and MS Access preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment as well as formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule and performance objectives.  
  • Support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports.
  • Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.  
  • Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
  • Support development of program documentation such as POM inputs, communication plans, contract documentation, meeting minutes, program briefings, regulatory & statutory documents.
  • Support program monitoring activities such as tracking contract CDRLs, documentation review and coordination, status updates and reporting. Support program execution to include coordination of activities with stakeholders, setting up and administering program meetings.
