What are interviewers?

Interviewers are professionals who conduct interviews to gather information, assess candidates, or collect data for various purposes. They may work in human resources, journalism, research, or other fields where obtaining truthful and relevant information is essential. Interviewers use a range of techniques to ask questions, record responses, and evaluate the information provided. Their skills help organizations make informed decisions, whether it’s hiring new employees, conducting surveys, or reporting news stories.

How much do interviewers make?

Interviewers' salaries vary depending on the industry, experience, and location, but the median annual wage for interviewers and survey takers was around $30,000 to $40,000. Professional interviewers, such as those conducting job interviews or market research, often earn higher wages, especially with specialized skills or certifications. Many interviewers work part-time or flexible schedules, which can also influence earnings.

  • Build reporting frameworks that bring visibility and accountability to hiring outcomes

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, People, Finance, and business leaders to align on hiring priorities and execution
  • Collaborate with systems and IT partners to ensure tools effectively support recruiting workflows (without owning the systems directly)
  • Act as a connective layer between strategy and execution, ensuring hiring goals translate into operational outcomes

Leadership & Organizational Impact

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Recruiting Operations team
  • Drive consistency and operational excellence across global recruiting teams
  • Serve as a strategic partner to TA leadership on performance, process improvements, and scaling the function
