Schedule
40 hours per week, 4x10 schedule, Monday to Saturday, with variable days from 0700 to 1730. Call is required on weekdays and weekends.
Job Description
The Interventional Technologist is responsible for producing optimal diagnostic images and providing excellent patient care within the Diagnostic Interventional Department. The role includes working with diverse patient populations, from Neonatal to Geriatric, and ensuring high-quality standards of care are met.
Responsibilities
  • Competently operate interventional imaging equipment and related machinery.
  • Verify and execute physician's orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
  • Provide first assist during procedures under the supervision of Interventional Cardiologist, Vascular Surgeon, or Interventional Radiologist.
  • Set up sterile trays and maintain room sterility.
  • Regulate patient flow and consult with radiologists on contrast media applications.
  • Evaluate and correct exam quality to improve image quality.
  • Perform additional duties such as charting, billing, and quality improvement studies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required.
  • State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License is necessary.
  • AHA BLS certification is required.
  • Preference given to those with experience in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography, or Vascular Interventional Radiography.
