Key Responsibilities
  • Alternate between three distinct weekly rotations: outpatient care, inpatient services, and post-procedure follow-ups, ensuring a diverse experience in patient management.
  • During inpatient shifts, manage a typical caseload of 8 to 17 patients daily, involving activities such as rounding, conducting new consultations, and following up on existing cases.
  • Engage in both independent and shared clinic visits, with approximately 50% of the clinic time involving independent patient care, seeing an average of 8-10 patients per day.
  • Participate in shared clinical appointments with physicians, focusing on new patient assessments, pre-procedure consultations, and follow-up care, ensuring patients receive comprehensive services.
  • Conduct all virtual visits, leveraging technology for patient consultations and follow-up interactions, while working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and quality protocols, while demonstrating sensitivity to cultural diversity and patient rights.
  • Perform thorough evaluations and treatments of patients presenting with acute and chronic health concerns, utilizing evidence-based approaches.
  • Obtain detailed patient histories, conduct pertinent physical examinations, and assess both normal and abnormal findings for new and returning patients.
  • Order, collect, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations as part of the patient assessment process.
  • Engage in procedural tasks as qualified, ensuring informed consent is obtained wherever necessary, and assisting physicians in the operating room as directed.
  • Manage documentation related to hospital admissions and discharges, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility requirements.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians on complex cases and enroll eligible patients in approved investigative studies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, offering care to individuals dealing with both acute and chronic health issues. Our focus is on individuals requiring interventional procedures where traditional surgical methods may pose greater risks. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that patients receive compassionate, effective care tailored to their unique health journeys.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, ideally in an outpatient or interventional radiology setting.
  • Current PA license and certification, with a commitment to maintaining ongoing educational requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for comprehensive patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in interventional radiology or a closely related specialty.
  • Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care practices.
