Job description

BHS Workforce is seeking a travel nurse RN Interventional Radiology for a travel nursing job in Greeley, Colorado.

Job Description & Requirements

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable)
  • BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • CRN (Certified Radiology Nurse) preferred
  • 1+ years of IR experience required
  • Experience with moderate sedation administration and vascular access management

Duties:

  • Provide nursing care and monitoring for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures (angiograms, embolizations, biopsies, drain placements, stent placements)
  • Prepare and educate patients pre-procedure, including sedation and consent verification
  • Administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation and contrast media per physician orders and protocol
  • Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic status throughout procedures, alerting the team to changes
  • Assist physicians during procedures, including circulating and monitoring roles
  • Manage vascular access sites, including sheath removal and hemostasis per protocol
  • Provide post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions
  • Respond to emergent complications (hemorrhage, sedation-related events) with appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with interventional radiologists, techs, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient response in the EMR
