Private Practice Interventional Radiologist in Springfield, Illinois

Central Illinois Radiological Associates (CIRA) is an independent, physician‑owned private radiology group practice with 100+ physicians providing comprehensive medical imaging and interventional services to ambulatory facilities, clinics, and hospitals throughout Illinois and in Michigan. CIRA’s multi‑site platform has created a unique work model that has cultivated a thriving and enjoyable work environment with consistent growth and success. Our radiologists have developed positive, respected relationships in the communities within which they operate.

Role Overview

We are recruiting a fellowship‑trained Interventional Radiologist to join our growing team. The position is based predominantly at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. The role involves performing a broad spectrum of interventional procedures, including arterial, venous, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal/spine procedures. The growing interventional oncology side of the practice includes routine biopsy and vascular access procedures, TACE, and thermal ablation, with potential to offer Y-90 in the near future.

Responsibilities
  • Perform arterial, venous, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal/spine procedures.
  • Conduct routine biopsy and vascular access procedures, TACE, and thermal ablation; consider Y-90 in the near future.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, particularly surgery, OB/GYN, oncology, GI and pulmonology teams.
  • Supervise and teach diagnostic residents from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
  • Cultivate relationships with hospital partners, clinicians, employees, and patients.
Qualifications
  • Fellowship‑trained Interventional Radiologist.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience performing a broad spectrum of interventional procedures.
