Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring at least 1 year of IR experience and ARRT-R certification.

Details
  • Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
  • 50/50 inpatient/outpatient patient mix
  • Patient diagnoses include biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, and endovascular lab cases
  • Required procedures include Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleed management, TPA administration, vein sampling, Phase 2 recovery, and cryoablations
  • Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic for documentation
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Call required for 2 full weekends in a 6-week period and 9 weeknights
  • Potential to float between sister facilities within the health system
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
  • Current BLS and ARRT-R certification required, ACLS preferred
  • WA state license required (License required if applicable)
  • Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Skilled in procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, chemoembolization, IVC filter placement/removal, stent placement, and angiography
  • Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Knowledge of central venous access, PICC line care, and port management
  • Familiarity with fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound equipment (Philips, Siemens)
  • Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
  • Must provide full SSN and DOB for compliance
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile fields
  • Perform accurate patient monitoring and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Maintain infection control and sterile technique standards
  • Stock supplies and maintain PACS and procedural equipment
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
  • Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
  • Former Providence-affiliated employees must have a 3-month separation before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
