- Leave of Absence (LOA)—Main Priority: 8/20 – 12/18 at Plank Junior High, 8am-3:10pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Short-Term LOA: 8/20 – 10/30 at Plank Junior High, 8am-3:10pm
- Full-Time: East View Academy, 7:45am-2:45pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Full-Time Float: 8:45am-3:45pm, providing district-wide services and substitute coverage for interpreter absences
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Adaptable, patient, and strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction and conversations for DHH students
- Facilitate communication during service minutes (OT, Social Work, etc.)
- Flex between classrooms or locations as assigned
- Uphold confidentiality and advocate for student needs
- Substitute for other interpreters when required
