The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable learning new systems, and interested in contributing to meaningful work in a mission-driven federal contracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Bring curiosity, initiative, and fresh ideas to help improve internal processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Assist with preparing, formatting, and reviewing internal and external materials such as presentations, reports, graphics, and templates
  • Participate in check-ins, ask questions, incorporate feedback, and communicate progress clearly
  • Assist with building, updating, and maintaining SharePoint pages, lists, dashboards, trackers, and related tools
  • Organize and maintain information in spreadsheets, documents, templates, and internal repositories

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college, university, technical program, or relevant training program preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision
  • Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of collaboration, ownership, and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new tools and systems

What Will Set You Apart

  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 tools, website content management, or basic coding concepts
  • Interest in government contracting, healthcare IT, business operations, or technology consulting
  • Experience with academic projects, internships, volunteer work, or extracurricular leadership activities
  • Strong organizational, research, or analytical skills

Why Cogent People Inc.?
