A strong interest in community service, nonprofit work, and the mission of the YMCA. Must be able to commit to the duration of the internship (May 26th-Aug 8th) Skills and Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Social media tools Application Materials: A current resume detailing relevant experience, education, and skills. A max 250 word essay explaining why you want to intern with the Beaver YMCA and how it aligns with your career goals. At least one letter of recommendation (preferably from a professor or previous employer). Internship Available Departments: Wellness: Interns in the Wellness department will have the opportunity to assist with planning and implementing fitness programs, wellness workshops, and educational campaigns aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles. This is ideal for those studying health sciences, nutrition, or fitness management Youth Programs: Interns in the Youth Programs department will gain hands-on experience supporting children and teens in a variety of activities, including after-school programs, summer camps, and recreational sports.
