About the role
This role leads Christ Covenant's college ministry, teaching, discipling, and shepherding college students both on-site and on-campus. It sets the ministry's strategy and vision, leads staff and volunteer teams, and oversees recruiting and gatherings across the college ministry, including international student efforts and mission trips.
What you'll do
Teaching
  • Create the teaching schedule for Christ Covenant's on-site and on-campus college gatherings.
  • Prepare and deliver teachings for on-site and on-campus college gatherings.
  • Lead the on-campus student leadership team through regular team meetings, training, communication, and personal coaching.

Discipleship
  • Build evangelistic and discipling relationships with college students.
  • Plan and execute college retreats and implement a recruiting strategy.
  • Lead college ministry mission trips.
  • Oversee international student ministry efforts and gatherings.

Strategy & Development
  • Create the strategy for on-campus ministry organizations, gatherings, and outreach.
  • Create the strategy and vision for college student discipleship.
  • Plan and implement a college ministry communication strategy.
  • Collect, track, and analyze attendance trends to ensure effective shepherding.
  • Maintain relationships with other on-campus ministries in which students participate.

Volunteers
  • Lead the college ministry volunteer team through regular team meetings, training, communication, and personal coaching.
  • Manage Planning Center profiles for college students.

Other
  • Direct the college staff team through weekly meetings and personal coaching, reviewing and planning all ministry activities.
  • Lead the recruiting of college staff, interns, volunteers, and student leaders.
  • Oversee and participate in on-campus gatherings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's (B.A.) in related field and Master of Divinity (MDiv.) degree preferred
  • At least 3 to 5 years of ministry experience
  • Understanding of and willingness to minister within the church's statement of beliefs
  • Character congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9)
