Job description

HMC Welder Internship Program

Are you interested in becoming a welder?

Located just 3 miles south of Princeton, Highway Machine Co. (HMC) offers a hands-on welding internship program for high school and college students from the surrounding area, including Gibson, Vanderburgh, Pike, Knox, Warrick, and Wabash (IL) counties.

HMC welcomes high school and college students who are currently enrolled in a welding program and are interested in building a career. Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with each intern, providing the training, experience, and support needed to help them succeed at every stage of their education and career.

For high school students, internships are typically scheduled during the second half of the school day during their final semester. Graduation does not have to mean the end of the internship. Students can continue working with HMC while attending trade school, with schedules adjusted around their classes.

HMC interns receive competitive pay and industry leading training while working with some of the largest and most advanced machine tools in the industry. Successful candidates have the opportunity to develop valuable skills, gain real world manufacturing experience, and build a career with a company that has been manufacturing precision components for more than 100 years.
