Survey Technician / Survey Crew Member

Join a growing survey team supporting boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction staking projects throughout Southeast Michigan. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in land surveying. Candidates with a Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree, internship experience, or prior field experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with field surveying using GPS equipment, total stations, and data collectors
• Support boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction staking surveys
• Collect and document accurate field data and measurements
• Help operate and maintain survey equipment
• Work alongside Crew Chiefs and project teams in the field
• Perform outdoor work in various weather and terrain conditions

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of surveying experience preferred
• Entry-level candidates with a relevant degree, coursework, or internship experience will be considered
• Interest in land surveying and construction layout
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work outdoors and lift survey equipment

Preferred:

• AutoCAD or Civil 3D experience
• Construction staking experience
• Previous experience as a Survey Technician, Survey Crew Member, Instrument Person, or related role

Work Environment: Full-time, onsite position based in Clinton Township. Primarily field-based work supporting residential, commercial, and public infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Michigan, with opportunities to learn drafting and survey data processing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Clemens, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
