Job description
****LCSW-S (board approved supervisor) preferred or eligible to meet the qualifications to become a board-approved clinical licensing supervisor within the first 3-6 months of employment.****
- Provide at least 25% of weekly schedule in direct counseling to clients, both adults and children in individual and group settings and maintaining proper documentation in accordance with agency and state regulations
- Engage in advocacy on behalf of the client as appropriate (this may include advocating within the criminal justice, educational, medical and/or social service system).
- Supervises approximately 6-7 clinicians in a group and individual setting.
- Supervisory duties will include teaching clinical skills by watching videos of direct reports' sessions and advising regarding critical issues; reading/reviewing client progress notes and working with direct reports through feedback and editing to ensure client files are written with trauma-informed language and a strengths-based lens. Supervision style will be reflective and will utilize the CE-CERT model.
- Administrative duties will include planning & leading staff trainings and continuing education, gathering statistics, maintaining data regarding the clinical department's productivity, maintaining agency policies and procedures, maintaining schedules of staff, data entry for research project documentation, delegating tasks as appropriate and overall management of the facilities and supplies.
- Participate in the agency's mission to provide education and outreach to the community. This includes but is not limited to the following: speaking engagements, providing support at Genesis events, testifying in court as both a fact and expert witness, attending community meetings.
Skills/Requirements:
- Licensed in the State of Texas as an LCSW.
- LCSW-S (board approved supervisor) preferred or eligible to meet the qualifications to become a board-approved clinical licensing supervisor within the first 3-6 months of employment.
- Trained in one or more of the following: EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT, or other evidenced-based and trauma-informed treatments for clients with PTSD
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with survivors of interpersonal violence in both individual and group settings
- 2 years supervisory experience, both Administrative and Clinical
- Trained in CE-CERT and experience providing supervision inside the CE-CERT model, preferred
- Experience providing effective and client-centered crisis intervention
- Experience facilitating trauma-processing with children, adolescents, and adults
- Experience providing supervision (agency/licensing/clinical) or mentorship to client-facing staff or interns
- Possess strong administrative skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with external public speaking, staff/volunteer training and providing expert court testimony
- Bilingual (Spanish), preferred
