## SYSTEM & ZONAL SAFETY ENGINEER (D/F/M)Applylocations: Donauwörth (Airbus Protect)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR10416071****Job Description:****You will be working within the safety business unit of of Airbus Protect, in the role of a safety engineer supporting our customer in Donauwörth on safety analysis of helicopter functions and systems **Task Description*** Support for Safety Analyses: Assist in the generation and review of safety assessments and analyses for aircraft systems (e.g., FHA, pSSA, SSA, Fault Trees) in accordance with standardized and predefined methodologies* Execution of Standard Analyses: Independently perform Common Cause Analyses (such as Zonal Safety Analysis or Particular Risk Analyses) under the guidance of experienced System Safety Engineers* Collaboration with Design Teams: Interface with internal system development teams to verify and document compliance with defined safety objectives* Requirements Management: Contribute to the derivation, capture, and tracking of safety-derived requirements throughout the entire development lifecycle* Certification Documentation: Compile and prepare data and compliance showings to support the certification process and Continued Airworthiness* Support for Technical Interfaces: Collect data and coordinate with adjacent technical domains (e.g., software/hardware development, maintenance, quality management) **Required Qualifications**The job requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of mechanical engineering, aeronautics or comparable courses of study and related subject-specific additional qualifications or through a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of more than 4 years with a degree or completed vocational training with a corresponding particularly extensive subject-specific additional qualification. The total required knowledge and experience may have been acquired in other ways. **Skills and Competences*** Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility* Knowledge and experience (e.g., through relevant internships, theses, or initial career steps) in the field of system development or reliability engineering, ideally within the aviation industry* Fundamental understanding of aircraft systems and their architectures* Initial exposure to common aviation safety standards and processes (e.g., ARP 4754A, ARP 4761) is an asset but not a requirement (on-the-job training will be provided).* Knowledge and experience in applying analytical methods (e.g., Fault Tree Analysis / FTA)* Analytical Thinking, Structured, diligent, and methodical approach to analyzing complex data* Teamwork and Communication, strong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborating in interdisciplinary project teams* Motivation and initiative to quickly familiarize yourself with new tools, regulatory requirements, and complex systems* Language Skills: Good to very good written and spoken German and English (for working with international documentation) This position may require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities. **Location**At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.
