Job description

General Summary: Prepares, maintains and reconciles the agency’s general ledgers. Prepares financial statements for internal and external use. Prepares monthly financial reports and complex analyses.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies behavioral based treatment programs which involve teaching adaptive behaviors, as well as independent living skills, as outline in the most recent ICHD program description.
  • Develops and maintains the residential teaching environment.
  • Coordinates the planning and implementing of resident’s academic and/or vocational program.
  • Develops a daily routine for the residential setting based on input from the residential Director.
  • Participates in the development of individual treatment goals for each resident and documents resident’s treatment process in the program.
  • Prepares, implements and documents various aspects of the residents’ programs, including monthly home letters, daily log, point sheets, assessments, individual treatment plans, incident reports, medication forms, and any other forms of documentation deemed necessary.
  • Maintains client files in accordance with ICHD and licensing agency’s policies and practices.
  • Acts as a liaison to referring workers, to include monthly conferences with individual caseworkers and families.
  • Assists with transporting residents to and from school, vocational placements, medical services, recreational activities and other appropriate activities as required.
  • Participates in the hiring, training and evaluation of residential sites staff.
  • Provides leadership and supervision for staff assigned to the residential setting.
  • Manages employee and team performance; provides new employee orientation; coaches, counsels and motivates employees.
  • Provides on-site instruction to employees or ensures that the instruction is provided by other qualified staff.
  • Implements disciplinary action as needed in consultation with residential director and the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Creates an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment for program staff; establishes effective communication methods; manages conflict and respond to staff concerns.
  • Responsible for timely completion of all agency/department required employee documentation related to hiring, time worked, performance/discipline, staff development, promotions, leave request and resignations/terminations.
  • Ensures residential setting is fully staffed and fills in for residential direct care staff as needed.
  • Responsible for scheduling of staff work schedules and assignments, as well as resident’s activities and appointments.
  • Provides emergency back-up support to residential setting as determine by on-call schedule.
  • Ensures children’s program licensing standards are met by working in collaboration with other site staff and QM/QA Director and staff regarding licensing and quality assurance standards.
  • Helps ensure various ICHD contract responsibilities are met.
  • Participates in, and conducts as necessary, staff meetings, house meetings, staff training, workshops and in-service training.
  • Follows agency purchasing and accounting procedures.
  • Possesses primary responsibility for client funds.
  • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as the relate to the general nature of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in a field related to behavioral health preferred. An equivalent combination of behavioral health work experience and education is also accepted.

Regulatory –

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Arizona Driver’s License, 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance that meets insurance requirements.
  • Must possess Level 1 fingerprint clearance.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
  • Initial current negative TB test result (Employer provides).
