Description - What You'll Do
  • Conduct a variety of routine and complex clinical laboratory evaluations-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-following established protocols to ensure precision.
  • Evaluate test results for correctness, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
  • Thoroughly document all lab procedures, provide training to new staff or interns, and ensure adherence to quality standards within the laboratory.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic workspace while observing all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent allied health qualification, with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of employment.
