What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Seasonal Store Planning Drafter to join our team. This position reports directly to the Director of Retail Production Planning and will work closely with a highly collaborative team of professionals.

The role requires daily communication with the Director and cross-functional collaboration to support the overall business by ensuring all drafting projects and processes are executed efficiently and accurately.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude with a good sense of humor.


Overview:

Plans and prepares drawings for retail space layouts using AutoCAD to draft 2D & 3D drawings.

Essential Functions:

  • Use the 3D fixture block drawings to create standard layouts for each unique store size. Each fixture part will be placed together with the other fixtures parts to create a completed store overview.
  • Use AutoCAD to draw 2D drawings of retail spaces from operator site inspection drawings and photos or occasionally built drawings, and place our pre-drawn fixtures into the space per our plan.
  • Plan the arrangement of displays within a retail space using established criteria and rules of priority.
  • Learn the assembly of store displays to create display drawings.
  • Assist with determining store sizes during season.
  • Assist with display assembly at our local store builds.
  • Work occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD with at least 2 years of experience in space planning/interior design.   
  • Retail and Store Planning experience preferred and or Architectural or general. 
  • Experienced with both CAD and Revit.
  • Must be able to read as-built prints.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Basic computer skills, outlook, excel, and word.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong decision -making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast paced, results environment.
  • Enjoys and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
