Job description

Join ENTRUST's Power Generation group as a fulltime-Sr. Consulting Engineer focused on supporting steam turbines engineering activities. This position offers remote and hybrid schedule options with minimal travel required.

ENTRUST Solutions Group Power Generation offers independent third-party engineering solutions to global power providers and plant operations.  Power Generation's service offerings cover conventional and renewable power, as well as compliance, encompassing plant conceptual design through operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of our, you will serve as the subject matter expert and company resource for steam turbine consulting projects. You'll interpret project objects and develop actionable plans to ensure schedule and hour targets are met or exceeded.  You'll be responsible for preparing for client meetings and leading discussions, demonstrating your technical expertise in turbine and generator engineering to execute projects independently.  Additionally, you'll assist management with business opportunities, conferences, and training sessions, and interface with industry organizations such as EPRI.  With a travel requirement of up to 10-15% for site visits, client meetings, and conferences, this role offers a dynamic and engaging opportunity to make a significant impact on the business side of the industry.

  • This position pays between $120,000 and $150,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and retirement program with company matches. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering.
  • 8 - 10+ years of demonstrated experience in steam turbine and generator engineering, or services-related roles.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering, calculations, assessments, and analyses.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support projects and business development initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering licensure and advanced degree
