Job Summary

The Assistant Starbucks Manager supports the Starbucks Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the licensed Starbucks location within the store. This position is responsible for helping drive sales, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining Starbucks brand standards, ensuring food safety compliance, and developing a high-performing team. The Assistant Starbucks Manager provides leadership and operational support while helping create a welcoming environment for both customers and associates.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold Starbucks customer experience standards.
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
  • Resolve customer concerns and service issues promptly and effectively.
  • Promote beverage, food, and seasonal offerings to enhance the customer experience.
  • Foster a customer-first culture through positive interaction and engagement.
Department Operations
  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the Starbucks department.
  • Ensure beverage and food preparation standards are consistently followed.
  • Monitor department conditions, cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Ensure all products are properly stocked, displayed, and available for customers.
  • Support execution of promotions, product launches, and seasonal programs.
Product Quality & Food Safety
  • Maintain Starbucks quality standards for all beverages and food products.
  • Ensure recipes, portioning, and presentation standards are followed.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing to meet business needs.
  • Serve as acting department leader in the Starbucks Manager’s absence.
  • Recognize and encourage associate growth and development opportunities.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Starbucks licensing requirements and company policies.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe environment for customers and associates.
  • Address safety concerns and equipment issues promptly.
