Position Overview:

The Lawgical Firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our Austin office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience while working alongside a dynamic team. The ideal candidate is eager to develop litigation skills, is highly organized, and is fluent in Spanish to effectively serve our diverse client base.

This role involves supporting litigation matters from inception through resolution, with a focus on commercial and residential first-party property insurance cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing state and federal cases from inception through resolution.

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.

Support senior attorneys in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.

Conduct legal research and case analysis.

Communicate with clients, including Spanish-speaking clients, to gather information and provide updates.

Assist with document review, discovery, and case file management.

Collaborate with team members to develop case strategy and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar

Required: Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Strong interest in litigation and desire to develop trial skills.

Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Proficient in legal research tools and general computer skills.

Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow.

Ability to work in the Austin office located at 504 W. 38th Street, Austin, TX 78705.

Preferred Qualifications:

Internship or clerkship experience in litigation.

Exposure to civil litigation or property insurance law.
