Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer supports business performance through equipment and process optimization. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role provides hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing challenges and works cross-functionally to identify and execute operational improvement opportunities. This position is ideal for a recent engineering graduate eager to learn, grow, and make an immediate impact on the plant floor.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by working with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and prioritize improvement opportunities
  • Assist in the design, documentation, and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment improvements focused on:
    • Safe Work Conditions
    • Efficient and flexible operations
    • Cost and productivity performance
  • Participate in process improvement projects from concept through implementation under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Spend significant time on the plant floor working alongside front-line teams to understand processes and ensure improvements are practical and manufacturable
  • Collect, analyze, and present data to support problem-solving and decision-making
  • Assist with equipment layout, workflow optimization, and standard work development
  • Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • Internship, co-op, or senior project experience in a manufacturing or operations environment preferred
  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety practices
  • Exposure to process engineering, equipment design, or project management concepts
