Job description

Job Title: Senior Motion Designer
Location: Los Angeles - Hybrid (three days in office)
Position hours: 10-7pm PST
Reports to: Head of Design & Creative Director, Motion Graphics
Job Description:
The Senior Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for designing and creating motion graphics assets, with a primary focus on campaigns for our A/V departments, as well as performing design explorations, motion tests, and animation for all branches of our business. In addition, they will be expected to create integrations and simple vfx such as paintouts and rotoscoping. Our ideal candidate is excited about entertainment marketing and immersed in the world of industry leading graphic design, motion design, and animation - with a passion for typography. In addition, this candidate should have a portfolio that illustrates their personal artistic sensibilities and tastes into client-facing design work.
ZEALOT Design works primarily in After Effects, so expertise is a must. Additionally, our ideal candidate is experienced with Cinema4D, as well as Photoshop and Illustrator, and is able to work on both Mac and PC. Formal education and training in design and/or animation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to style frame explorations that meets creative direction and is delivered on schedule
  • Execute graphics production requests efficiently and accurately
  • Fulfill graphics finishing needs with acute attention to detail and organization
  • Satisfy rudimentary VFX needs such as rotoscoping, paint-outs, and camera tracking
  • Uphold department standards for organization and workflow
  • Consistently delivers accurate work in a timely fashion
  • Shows continuous growth in both technical and creative skills
  • Reinforces ZEALOT's dedication to teamwork, collaboration, and innovation

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience creating motion graphics in an agency setting
  • Advanced expertise in After Effects and commonly used plug-ins
  • Familiarity (or better) with Cinema4D, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate within a team setting
  • Effective prioritization and time management skillsets with the ability to pivot as needed
  • College degree in design preferred but not required
