Joliet Slammers Promotions Internship (Summer 2026)
Company Overview:
The Joliet Slammers are Joliet's hometown professional baseball team, competing in the Frontier League - a Partner League of Major League Baseball. We're dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences for our fans throughout the city of Joliet and the greater Chicagoland area. We pride ourselves on a positive, team-first culture rooted in community, fun, and creating memories for fans of every age. The right individual will play a key role in upholding and elevating that standard across all departments.
Position Overview: The Joliet Slammers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated students to be a part of the 2025 season. As an intern, you will obtain first-hand experience in the entire operation of a successful professional baseball franchise. A promotion intern would primarily be focused on ensuring the Slammers fans have a wonderful experience by providing exciting & engaging promotions throughout the season via on-field games, theme nights, customer service, community outreach, and other opportunities across the organization.
Every day is different, but a typical day might include:
  • Represent the Joliet Slammers organization, partners, and sponsors with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm at all times
  • Display outstanding teamwork, communication skills, and an energetic personality
  • Planning and executing all aspects of promotions and associated tasks
  • Theme nights, on-field entertainment, production, and more
  • Assisting with the creation of in-game entertainment, especially pertaining to theme nights
  • Willing to put yourself out there
  • Dancing, cheering, engaging with the crowd
  • Assisting with production setup for each game
  • Assisting with PA scripts, video board, music, etc
  • Assisting with stocking, cleaning, inventory, etc
  • Attending various community events/parades
  • Help with the day-to-day function of the organization. You may be asked to do several tasks; it's part of the all-inclusive experience!

The ideal candidate:
  • Are currently attending college
  • Are able to work all 51 home games and additional off-site events
  • Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
  • Have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-task work environment
  • Have superior oral communication. Writing and editing skills
  • Are highly motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Strong desire to work in a team environment
